This cookie policy explains how Impact Lab LLC (“Impact Lab”, “we” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on impactlabgroup.com (the “site”), and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.

1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They can remember your settings, keep a site secure, or help measure how a site is used. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are “first-party” cookies. Cookies set by another company, for example through an embedded tool, are “third-party” cookies.

Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site save small pieces of information on your device. Unlike cookies, it is not sent to the website with every request. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that send information about your visit to another service, often together with cookies.

2. What this site uses

Strictly necessary and functional

  • Theme preference (local storage). When you switch between light and dark mode, the site saves your choice in your browser’s local storage under the name “theme”, so the site looks the way you chose on your next visit. It stays on your device, is not sent to us and is not used to track you. It remains until you clear your browser’s site data.

Analytics, if enabled

If we use an analytics tool such as Google Analytics, it would set cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and how people arrive. This information is used in aggregate to improve the site. [To confirm: whether analytics is used, which tool, the cookie names and how long they last]

Advertising pixels, if enabled

If we use advertising pixels such as the Meta Pixel, they would set or read cookies that help measure the results of our own ads and may let the advertising platform show you relevant ads elsewhere. The platform also uses this information under its own privacy policy. [To confirm: whether any advertising pixels are used, which ones, the cookie names and how long they last]

Third-party cookies from the Calendly embed

Our booking page includes an embedded Calendly scheduling widget. When it loads, Calendly may set its own cookies, for example to make the widget work, keep it secure and measure its use. These cookies are controlled by Calendly, not by us, and are covered by Calendly’s privacy notice. [To confirm: whether the Calendly widget loads as soon as the booking page opens, or only after the visitor consents or clicks]

[To confirm: the complete list of cookies and storage items, with names, providers, purposes and durations, once hosting, analytics and advertising tools are finalized]

3. Consent

Strictly necessary and functional storage, like the theme preference, does not require your consent. In the EEA, the UK and some other places, analytics and advertising cookies may only be used with your consent. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it before setting those cookies, and you can withdraw it at any time.

4. How to manage cookies

  • Our consent tool. [To confirm: whether the site has a cookie consent banner or preference tool, and how visitors can reopen it to change their choices]
  • Your browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and local storage, usually under privacy or site data settings. Blocking all cookies may stop some features from working, such as the booking widget. Clearing site data will also reset your theme preference.
  • Platform settings. If advertising pixels are used, you can also manage how ads are personalized in your account settings with each advertising platform.
  • Global Privacy Control. [To confirm: whether the site honors Global Privacy Control browser signals]

5. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we change the cookies or tools we use. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
